.|...:: My Chinese New Year.. ::...|.
Date: 30/1/2006
Yes, i'm a bit behind time and haven't been blogging here for ages.. I guess Form 4 is harder than i thought it would be. Loaded with homework and just after the first month, i've decided to drop Modern Maths tuition. I guess its cause i need a break from tuitions at least one day a week. So far, i'm taking like five tuitions.. Minus the mod. maths tuition, i guess i'd have a bit of space to breathe.
Ahhh... Chinese New Year is here!! The season to collect ang pau and eat till the sky falls. Or rather, till i grow a belly bigger than my present one. xD Anyhow, while filail daughters and sons [or rather granddaughters and grandsons] go back to their homwtowns to celebrate this season of celebration, here i am typing out my sleepy festivities. Contradiction, i know. Yesterday was the first day of CNY, but all i did was watch Memoirs of a Geisha on DVD. Oh, and my neighbours came to visit, as done every year, but that doesn't count.. As usual, you hear the "how tall your son's grown!!!" or "So, how was PMR?" or the classic "Oh my, i thought you were older than Form 4!! ".. And as expected, parents just loooove talking about how teens like to follow trends. Y'know.. I didn't know that smilling instead of throwing back an avil comment was like a trend among teens.. I just thought it was the right and polite thing to do.. An angel, aren't i? =]
Anyhow.. Even my parents don't seem to want to go out and visit all the people in the entire vicinity of Kuala Lumpur. I wonder if its just the laziness or the fact that people like to come over to our house instead.. [Which is hugely due to the fact that my mu cooks amazingly yummy food] Well, while i'm sittinga round waiting for guests to come and visit us, i guess its a good time to sit down and do some studying, huh? Again, wrong.. Miraculously, my mum even got up after lunch and said "Movie time!!! " And we all sat down in front of the telly to watch a movie. Amazing what holidays can do, even to parents. Well, i'm off to my Aunt's for dinner tonight.. I know the lobak is going to be devoured by my brother so maybe i'll take a liking to some other dish. Well, happy holidays, people! Hope you're having as much fun having a laid back CNY as i am!! To your parents, drive safely and feed you children!!! xD

.|...:: School and such ::...|.
Tell me... How many people does it take to fix a damaged Streamyx line? ... Done with guessing yet? The answer is FIVE!!! So amazing, right? Here, lemme explain..
1. A guy to tell me how many blinking lights are on my router. [Like duhhh]
2. Another guy to tell me my phone line has been struck by lightning.
3. One guy to see the router
4. One guy to fix the wiring
5. The guy who constantly breathes down all of their necks to get the damn job done
And believe it or not, the first two are from the TM helpline. Thank goodness its a toll-free number, huh? Very very good. Malaysia boleh. Haiihz... the dumb line has been down for the past week or so and believe me.. Interenet access has GOT to be one of the basic necessities of life... Especially if you have relatives from overseas over..
Alrighty, i'm done with complaining. Anyway, its a new year and i wish everyone a very happy new year and well... *checks calendar* Hari Raya Qurban. Erm... Yeah... Just a few things about going back to school...
January the third 2006.. Was the very first day of Form Four.. Oh my goodness, i feel soso old, y'know? It's like standing opposite the Form Three's makes me think back to when i used to stand in the lines at the opposite end of the field. Though it was barely a year ago, it felt like ages ago that i stood there, amongst the other Form three students of my year, feeling all awkward to be new to the morning school. Well, they say time flies when you're having fun. Stood through the entire assembly down on the school field. Then the teachers called out the names of he students one by one, assigning them to their respective classes. When my heart was about to fall out due to the fear that i didn't get a place in the Pure Science stream, i heard my named called and walked over to the 4 Cempaka line, Not that i knew it was 4C at that moment.. So i guess i'm grateful for getting into a good class, with a few friends that i can hang out and talk crap with.
Well, for the past week, my relatives from Aus have been over, and have been having a blast. Honestly, Aussies can seriously eat!! I mean, thats almost all we've been doing since they came over. Oh, and shopping. Went to Frasers this weekend.. Was so misty and cold, really enjoyed the weather. Well, i'll report back when there's more to say, and when i have more time. Take care, people!!
